The fishermen were smiling and waving at us. They bring fresh fish in to the village every day and is was some of the best I have ever had. I even had fish and eggs for breakfast my last morning there. Yummy!
These pelicans and hundreds of other birds were swarming a fishing boat when our tour was headed outta the Federal marine reserve at Ballestras Islands of Paracas. Our captain took us over for a quick look. The smaller birds dive straight into the water then seem to just bounce right out of the water, give a little shake and off they fly…usually with a small fish in their mouths.
Private compartment, comfy reclining seats, blanket, pillow, movies, attendant, food service, air control, reading light, attendant call light,,,,,now I get it….only took me until the third bus ride…I am traveling first class on the bus!!!!! It’s OK, you can laugh, I did, but be honest, have you ever heard of first class on a bus??? With wifi? Yes, I am posting this from the bus.
People were taking pictures all along this wall. At one spot a girl was lying on top of the wall where it dipped posing for her boyfriend.
This was antichuri de corazon – not sure I spelled that right – it was a bamboo skewer with beautifully spiced and perfectly cooked beef heart – very yummy! And the fries did not need ketchup. The drink is a mini pisco sour which is the national Peruvian drink. It came with the meal – that was the bribe to get me to eat there…..I will have to try a real one, it was very good.
