This is what the Colca Vally is all about….terraced agriculture. There are 10,000 hectares of these terraces in the Colca Valley and about 7,000 of them are still actively farmed. The water supply is from the snow in the mountains that feed the Colca River and the irrigation ducts put there by the pre Inca and the Inca. There is not as much snow these days
